I guess it's a good toy for a play kitchen. Anyway, it was fun to make, although I had to completely fudge the top...couldn't see my stitches through all the fuzz!

I made Beckett a pair of pants out of a maternity dress that I wore A LOT while I was pregnant with him. He seems pretty happy with them.

Project Funway

This took place over a weekend in late August. All of the kids did a wonderful job, sewing and embellishing and accessorizing. We all had a blast. Zander and Beckett's matching "mismatched" boxers were a big hit!

Because why not make a scarf in August? Doesn't everyone? This was the easiest pattern from this book. I'm really enjoying these CHICKS WITH STICKS patterns and currently working on the Esprit Pullover from the crochet book as well.

I tried to adapt the pattern for this to Violet's size, but it still came out Mira's size. Hmm. So much for Project Runway.

i got an iPhone and i love it! i am blogging from it now. i think it's going to change my life. i am pretty sure it runs on magic. This pic of B was taken with it. He is wearing a little hat I just knitted for him. It's a bit big and goofy but so is he. He'll rock it at the ice rink!

Gnarly Teeth

I meant to post these awhile ago. Zander got these "teeth" for his birthday. We all had fun, except Violet who can be seen peeking out from behind the couch in the first photo. She rallied later, though. Check out Beckett's perplexed expressions!

Mira's Birthday Dress

It was a little "Project Runway" moment. "Make me a dress, a halter, in this fabric. You have one hour." I didn't have a pattern for a halter dress and so I took the tunic pattern I had and reworked it into this.
Can I say I'm a little proud of myself? The fabric is really what makes it, though. And the model of course. When I asked her to hold up her hair so I could take a picture of the back, she took me quite literally!
